Game day isn’t just for us — it’s for our pups too.

With Super Bowl Sunday and National Pizza Day landing together, we made these dog-safe pumpkin pizza bites so our Goldens could join the fun without upsetting their tummies.

At Stacy’s Goldens, we are always mindful of digestion and safe ingredients — especially during holidays when there’s extra food around.

These treats are:

• Made with whole wheat flour

• Lean ground turkey

• Reduced-fat mozzarella

• Pumpkin digestive support

• Baked in a muffin tin for perfect portion control

And yes… they are Golden-approved.

🐾 Why Pumpkin Is Great for Dogs

Pumpkin supports:

• Healthy digestion

• Stool regulation

• Added fiber

• Gentle GI support

That’s why we used pumpkin puree as part of both the crust and filling.

🍕 Dog-Safe Pumpkin Pizza Bites Recipe

Makes: 12 muffin-tin bites

Prep Time: 15 minutes Bake Time: 18–22 minutes Oven: 350°F

🧡 Ingredients

Crust:

• 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour

• ½ cup pumpkin puree

• 1 large egg

• ¼ cup water (add slowly as needed)

Filling:

• ½ lb lean ground turkey

• ¼ cup pumpkin puree

• ½ cup reduced-fat shredded mozzarella

🔥 Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a standard muffin tin.

2. Cook ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Do not add oil, seasoning, or salt. Drain excess moisture and let cool.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, ½ cup pumpkin puree, and egg. Slowly add water (1 tablespoon at a time) until a soft, workable dough forms.

4. Divide dough into 12 equal balls. Press each into muffin tin cups, forming crust walls up the sides.

5. In a separate bowl, mix:

   • Cooked turkey

   • ¼ cup pumpkin puree

   • ½ cup mozzarella

6. Spoon mixture evenly into each crust cup.

7. Bake for 18–22 minutes until crust edges are golden and cheese is melted.

🐶 Serving Guidelines

• Under 20 lbs.: ½ bite

• 20–50 lbs.: 1 bite

• 50+ lbs.: 1–2 bites

Treat only — not meal replacement.

Store in refrigerator up to 4 days. Freeze up to 2 months.
